Day 2 in Moscow
I slept in today and visited the Kremlin Museum Complex 10:00 am. It was an ancient city and citadel, the former residence of Russian Tsars and Soviet rulers. Unfortunately, more than half of the area is inaccessible to the public. I only got the tickets for the Cathedral square, but not the Armoury Collection of royal clothing and chariots, or the Diamond Fund. Two cathedrals were open. The Assumption Cathedral (1479) was the main place of worship for Moscow, and the place of coronation for all the Tsars. The gilded Cathedral of the Annunciation was a domestic royal church.
I strolled via the decorative Gum department store next to the Red Square.
In the afternoon, I saw the worldwide collection of the Pushkin Museum in the afternoon. On the evening, my classmate and his wife took me to a grill restaurant. I walked back to the hostel to see the night views of Moscow.
