Day 5 in St. Petersburg
It was a pleasantly productive day.
I walked 3 km to check out the street art gallery on painted walls, garages, or even roofs. @ Kamennoostrovsky Ave, 26-28, St Petersburg. It was buried in an enclosed yard surrounded by building, but I found it.
My 2nd walk to Artmuza @ 13-Ya Liniya Vasil'yevskogo Ostrova, 70, St Petersburg was 4 km. The gallery was hosted in a 3-floor Restored factory featuring modern art, a theater, workshops & cultural events.
My 3rd walk to Sevcabel port @ Kozhevennaya Liniya, 40, St Petersburg was 3.5 km. It is a public space for culture and business (food, souvenirs and crafts), created as a result of the reorganization of the industrial "Grey Belt" of Vasilyevsky Island harbour in Saint Petersburg. I saw beautiful views of bridges and waves of the Gulf of Finland. It was the longest walk of the day and I finished cookies, so I got food from a supermarket on the way.
My 4th walk to the new holland island (aka Admiralty Island) was 4.5 km. It is a historic triangular artificial island dating from the 18th century, and a vast historic shipyard built by Tsar Peter the Great. Today it is a recreational space with green spaces, stores and bars.
My last walk to hostel was 3.5 km. I ran out of water, so I stopped by another supermarket to get a drink. I picked a beer that was cheaper than local cola, and finished it inside the supermarket. The light beer was refreshing on hot day.
After 18.5 km (11.5 miles) walk, I stoped by EuroSpar to get food for dinner and I bought a 500 ml coffee cream liquor (18%). I need to finish it in three days before my flight back into China.
