Day 1 in Mt. Lu 庐山
I took two high speed trains for 5.5 hours to get to Mt. Lu 庐山. Mount Lu is bordered by the Yangtze River to the north and Poyang Lake to the east. Its main peak, Hanyang Peak, is 1,474 meters above sea level. Legend has it that during the Yin and Zhou dynasties, seven brothers of the Kuang family built a hut and lived in seclusion here. After they became immortals, the hut they lived in turned into a mountain, hence the name Mount Lu. The scenery of Mount Lu is magnificent, beautiful and dangerous, and it has long been known as "Kuanglu is the most beautiful in the world."
I stayed in a hostel in Guling Town 牯岭镇 that is located on Mount Lushan in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces a valley on one side. It is known as the "Mountain City in the Clouds". It has world cultural landscapes, world geological parks, and world excellent ecological tourism scenic spots. I visited Ruqin Lake, Flower Path, Sky Bridge, Jinxiu Valley, and Xianren Cave 琴湖, 花径, 天桥、锦绣谷,仙人洞 this afternoon. Ruqin Lake is named because the lake surface is shaped like a violin.
Due to the Quaternary glaciers, Jinxiu Valley, a mountain depression facing southwest, was repeatedly carved by glaciers to form a valley with a flat bottom and steep walls. It is said that the imperial stele in the imperial stele pavilion built by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was transported to the mountain through this road. There are more than 40 stone carvings on the cliffs along the road, including "White Cloud Sky", "Deep in the Mist and Clouds", "Half Sky", "Heavenly Lake", etc. Among them, the most famous is the inscription "Lushan Gao" written by Ouyang Xiu and written by Wu Shouren.
Xianren Cave is a rock cave formed by sand cliffs. Due to the continuous weathering of nature and the long-term erosion of mountains and rivers, a natural cave was gradually formed. Because it looks like a Buddha's hand, it is named Buddha's Hand Rock. This is not only the most popular scenic spot for tourists, but also a Taoist blessed land.
