Day 1 of 稻程雅丁tour

 I’m was picked up by a passenger car to transfer to the tour bus for this 5-day tour. It is cheaper and easier to take the tour than DIY the trip myself due to government subsidies to promote local tourism after the mud flood in August.

We arrived Yucheng [Ya'an] 雅安 (famous for the three wonders of Yanu, Yayu, and Yayu in Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet). The throat is also the gateway to the ancient Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road 🍵馬古道。 The bus Climbed along the beautiful Qingyi River while we enjoyed the scenery of the Qingyi River Valley. Pass by [Erlang Mountain to enjoy the two completely different wonders of "one mountain has yin and yang", overlook the scenery of Dadu River (the largest and deepest canyon in western Sichuan), and arrived at the hometown of love songs [Kangding] 康定情歌for lunch. 

In the afternoon, we Crossed the barrier outside the Great Wall [Zheduo Mountain] 折多山which is known as the "First Pass of Kham", with the highest peak at 4,900 meters above sea level and the pass at 4,298 meters above sea level. It is also the first high mountain pass that needs to be crossed on the Sichuan-Tibet Line. We visited Muya Holy Land 木雅聖地using a sightseeing bus. It is said that this place is the hometown of Princess Muya, the fourth wife of the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo - Jamzun. The scenic spot is located in the world-renowned city of love songs - "Muya Xinkang" on the west side of Zheduo Mountain in Kangding. It is the first special tourist area in the country with the theme of Tibetan Muya culture. Unfortunately we couldn’t view Muya Gongga Snow Mountain 贡嘎雪山, 7556 meters above sea level, the "King of Shu Mountains" in Sichuan, due to the clouds. We Checked a hotel in at Xinduqiao 新都橋and had dinner. I took a short walk to a wetland near the hotel. 

I have been taking diamox to minimize high altitude sickness, yet suffered tingling numbness in the hands and cheeks.
