Last day of 稻城亚丁
We went to Kham’s characteristic [Folk Culture Village] to taste the most representative Tibetan butter morning tea, experience the Tibetan life customs and feel the rich plateau Tibetan style, including being blessed by a local elderly. The village also sells Tibetans handicrafts and silver.
Then we visited a scenic spot [Mugecuo Scenic Area], a national 4A scenic area. The scenic area is characterized by alpine lakes and hot springs. It integrates primitive forests, grasslands, and snow-capped mountains. The primitive, simple and quiet natural scenery makes people feel as if they are in the "Yaochi Wonderland". We took a cruise in the lake in the hope to see the highest peak in Sichuan; but unfortunately, it was covered by cloud even on a sunny day like today. The scenery of Mugecuo Lake changes throughout the day. In the early morning, the vast lake is as quiet as a mirror, reflecting the snow-capped peaks and mountains; in the afternoon, the waves roll, and the sound of the waves shakes the valley; in the evening, when the sun sets in the west, the lake is golden and dazzling.
After exiting the scenic area, we returned to Chengdu after 9 pm, and I checked in the hostel after 10 pm. I need to get up 5 am tomorrow morning for a 2-day tour to Four Girls Mountain四姑娘山. The government is subsidizing tour fees to improve local tourism after August flooding, so it is cheaper for me to take the tour than DIY.
