Day 4 in Nanning

First, I walked 2 km to the Huang Family Residence  黄氏家族民居. The Huang Family Residence is located on Longteng Road. It is an ancient building complex from the Qing Dynasty with a history of more than 350 years. It is one of the largest ancient building complexes in Nanning. The main gate is closed, but I went in through the side door to peek at the current structures and residents.

Next, I walked 6 km from the Huang Family Residence to the National Cultural Relics Garden 民族文物苑. The National Cultural Relics Garden is located next to the Guangxi Museum in Nanning (the museum is crowded with people today, but few people know about the Cultural Relics Garden). It covers an area of 24,000 square meters and is a local and unique open-air exhibition hall for ethnic cultural relics. It displays the unique folk houses of the Zhuang, Yao, Miao, and Maonan peoples in Guangxi, the wind and rain bridges and drum towers of the Dong people, as well as the village gates, stage, ethnic handicraft workshops, bronze drum group sculptures, bronze horses, bronze town statues, etc. Among them, the largest bronze drum in Guangxi and even in the world - the Yunlei Pattern Bronze Drum is collected here.

I passed by a big Taiwanese complex 台湾街Nanning Taiwan Street which is a joint venture between China and Taiwan, with a total area of about 520,000 square meters. It is located on both sides of Longteng Road, a newly opened urban arterial road connecting Jiangbei Avenue and Xinyang Road, and is only about 3 kilometers away from Chaoyang Commercial Center. There are many vacant shops now.

I also passed by the Shuiyang Market 水漾集市 on the way. ‌Shuiyang Market is a special market in Nanning People's Livelihood Square, which combines Southeast Asian style and Guangxi culture. ‌Shuiyang Market is a special market in Nanning People's Livelihood Square, which combines Southeast Asian style and Guangxi culture. Unfortunately, it was closed in the afternoon.

Finally, walk 4 km from the National Cultural Relics Garden to Neijie Cultural and Creative Park 内街文化创意园. Neijie Cultural and Creative Park is a park integrating culture, art and creativity, suitable for enjoying the cultural atmosphere after sightseeing. A cultural and creative park integrating smart vegetable market, entertainment and leisure. The park is characterized by its "old friend" culture, showing the unique urban culture of Nanning, including urban cultural attributes such as love, hospitality, tolerance and openness.

At the end of the day, I was tired of walking, so I took subway and a bus back home.
