Last day in Nanning
Since I had a very early flight on 10/11, I stayed in a hostel across the street from the airport shuttle bus station next to the train station on 10/10, and toured sights nearby.
The Yuanyang Building at No. 28 Tangshan Street 唐山街28号鸳鸯楼 is an old red brick residential building built in the 1970s. It is also a popular photo spot in Nanning. The residential building is composed of two adjacent residential buildings. There are three intersecting "Z"-shaped staircases between the two buildings, so it is called the "Yuanyang Building".
There are more than 300 shops in the Tangren Cultural Park 唐人文化园, and the business content includes antique calligraphy and painting, root carving art, mahogany furniture, porcelain miscellaneous items, ancient jade and bronze, fragrant tea coffee, theme bars, etc. The main focus is calligraphy and painting, tea art and art collection. There are "flea spots" such as philatelic calligraphy and painting, old newspaper and book stalls, and strange stone antiques in the open space in the park, which are convenient for tourists to shop. The Tangren Cultural Park was built by merging and restructuring the factory buildings and warehouses of the original Nanning Hand Tractor Parts Factory, Auto Parts Factory No. 3 and Diesel Engine Parts Factory built in the 1970s and repositioning them. It took a year to build.
The Shuangmajing Market 双孖井市场 behind the train station is a morning market full of life. Although the entrance is more suitable for tourists to stroll around, the area where locals buy vegetables is a hidden treasure trove of food! I bought fresh fruit and snacks there, and ordered takeout of Stir-fried beef with pickled cabbage + papaya omelette + rice 酸菜炒黄牛肉+木瓜煎蛋+米饭 for dinner. I also tried the instant noodles of Yam and Pork Bone Noodle Soup 山药豬骨湯麵that I won in an event and was tasted pretty good.
