New Taipei City Good Market Festival 2024新北好市節






 I visited my cousin and we had lunch at Sonic Cafe 索尼克(音速小子）主题餐厅that opens from October 18, 2024 (Friday) to November 18, 2024 (Monday), offering access to the game "Sonic x Shadow: Generations Restart", including various Sonic-related menus and Sonic peripheral products. Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game series and media franchise created by the Japanese developers for Sega.


I found out today that my artistic blood traced back to my mother’s side, after my cousin disclosed his daughter received international painting award and his own decision of giving up artist dream for practical jobs like me. 



I had afternoon tea with some junior high school classmates to chat about life, art, and history. We were in the first class of the Jinhua Junior High School Art Class 金華國中美術班, that has gone through more than forty years. We had the same study time in regular classes, but also artwork to complete, including painting, calligraphy, etc.









I ran into The 2024 New Taipei City Good Market Festival 2024新北好市節 at Fuzhong Square 府中廣場 in Banqiao 板橋that had more than 30 stalls of popular market and night market vendors, as well as "nostalgic game experience", "retro citrus store" and various performance activities. Banqiao District has been an important commercial gathering place since the Qing Dynasty. Feel the charm of the past. In addition to the popular food in the market and night market such as dragon pheasant legs, seafood salad, grilled dice beef and braised food 龍鳳腿、海鮮沙拉、炙燒骰子牛及滷味, there are also various classic afternoon tea snacks such as hand-poured coffee, donuts, English scones, and Theresa's cookies that have been strictly selected by New Taipei City.

A zero day back to Moscow

 I finished two towns 苏兹达里 суздаль and 弗拉基米尔 владимир yesterday, and walked a lot, so I took today easy, just to transport myself back to Moscow. Since I was stressed out last time buying an express train ticket at the train terminal, I attempted to book one online. However, the booking info request was frustrating. Fortunately, my young biker hostelmate figured out and finally booked my 2nd choice ticket, while my 1st choice was gone while we were trying.  My hostelmate is an architect college student so he speaks enough English to communicate with me. I ended up getting on a sleeping seat and had a 2-hr nap on the train back to Moscow.  Russian people are generally friendly and helpful, although they were intimidated by my English at the beginning. Day 3 in Huangshan 黃山

Yungu Temple 云谷寺 Trail Climb up the mountain - Shixin Peak - Xihai Grand Canyon - Outside the ring - Mengbi Shenghua - Qingliang Terrace - Monkeys watching the sea - Guangmingding 100-step cloud ladder - Welcoming pine - Yuping cableway (see map) Shixin Peak 始信峰 is 1,683 meters above sea level, surrounded by cliffs on three sides and an empty valley facing the wind. There are many pine trees nearby, so there is a saying that "If you don't go to Shixin Peak, you won't see Huangshan pines". It is a representative landscape of Huangshan. There is also the Shuguang Pavilion here. About 200 meters away from the Shuguang Pavilion is the famous Qingliang Terrace, which is also surrounded by the sky on three sides.
